HDPE Sheets

HDPE sheet, also known as high-density polyethylene sheet, is a thermoplastic sheet formed by extruding or molding high-density polyethylene resin. Its molecular structure is regular, and its crystallinity is high (usually 55%~70%). It has excellent chemical resistance, low temperature resistance, and processing convenience, making it a cost-effective universal plastic sheet.
1、 Core performance advantages
Super strong chemical corrosion resistance
HDPE sheet has excellent chemical stability and can withstand acid, alkali, salt solutions (such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, sodium hydroxide, etc.) as well as most organic solvents (alcohols, esters, hydrocarbons) at room temperature. It will not swell, crack or deteriorate in performance, and is only not resistant to strong oxidizing acids (such as concentrated nitric acid) and a few halogenated hydrocarbons. This characteristic makes it an ideal material in the field of chemical anti-corrosion.
Excellent low temperature resistance and impact resistance
The brittleness temperature of HDPE is as low as * * -70 ℃ * *, and it can still maintain good toughness and impact resistance in extremely cold environments. It is not easily brittle when subjected to external impact, far superior to the low-temperature performance of plastic sheets such as ABS and PVC. At the same time, it has high impact resistance at room temperature and is suitable for outdoor low-temperature scenarios.
Extremely low water absorption and moisture resistance
HDPE is a non-polar material with almost zero water absorption (<0.01%). It will not experience water absorption expansion, deformation, or performance degradation when immersed in water or humid environments for a long time, and has significant moisture-proof and waterproof effects.
Good wear resistance and self-lubricating properties
HDPE sheet has a smooth surface, low friction coefficient, excellent self-lubricating performance, and is not prone to adhesion when rubbed with metals or other materials. Its wear resistance is outstanding, several times that of carbon steel, which can effectively reduce wear during material transportation.
Lightweight and easy to process
The density is only 0.94-0.97g/cm ³, which is lighter than water and much lower than materials such as metal and fiberglass. It can significantly reduce the weight of equipment and components, meeting the requirements of lightweight design.
The processing technology is flexible and can be processed through conventional methods such as sawing, drilling, bending, hot welding, stamping, etc. It has excellent welding performance and can be assembled into large-sized irregular parts, suitable for complex engineering requirements.
Environmental safety and aging resistance
Odorless and non-toxic, in compliance with food contact safety standards (such as FDA certification), can be used for food processing and storage related equipment.
It has a certain degree of weather resistance, and after being modified with anti UV agents, it can be used in outdoor scenes for a long time without aging or yellowing; Simultaneously belonging to thermoplastic, recyclable and reusable, with good environmental friendliness.
Excellent electrical insulation performance
HDPE has a stable molecular structure, low dielectric constant, excellent insulation performance, and is not affected by humidity. It is suitable for making insulation partitions, sheaths, and other components of electrical equipment.
